Giulliano Alves, Black Belt 2nd in BJJ has dedicated his entire life to learning, training and teaching the essence of BJJ, ever since he started to train Gracie BJJ in 1998. Originally from Florianopolis, Brazil, he had the chance to not only train with one but two of the greatest masters in the sport: Rilion Gracie e Rickson Gracie. Rilion Gracie, he met and trained with during his time in Brazil, when Rilion Gracie was running his Rilion Gracie Academy in Florianopolis. For Rickson, Giulliano moved to California and lived and trained in the Rickson Gracie International Jiu Jitsu Association, further refining his already excellent game. In 2010, Giuliano was graduated Black Belt from the hands of the Master Claudio Arrais, in Florianopolis,

As a 2 times participant at the World BJJ Championship (IBJJF), Giulliano not only loves to practice and teach but also to compete. This is also shown by his podiums at South American Championship (IBJJF), Europeans No Gi (IBJJF) and Troféu Brasil (ADCC), as well as by numerous victories at smaller regional events.

Giulliano´s extensive BJJ pedigree, is flanked by a general and universal sports education. Giulliano Pursued a University degree in Physical Education and Sports at Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina UNISUL, which was followed by a post graduation specialization in 

Physiology of Exercise and Exercise Prescription at the Universidade Gama Filho UGF. Next to this, Giulliano has over a decade of experience working as a personal trainer. In this role, not only did he supported professional athletes with working on specific aspects of their fitness, he also has extensive experience in drafting and teaching general workout programs for less experienced people, in order to become fit or to remedy physical health problems.
